Learn how we are keeping our patients safe during the Covid-19 pandemic!
  1. Chewing a gum that is sugar-free after you eat or drink is an important step to aid in protecting both your teeth and your gums. Look for gum that contains Xylitol.
  2. After you drink or eat anything, wait an hour to brush. Eating softens your enamel and brushing too soon can cause damage that cannot be reversed.
  3. Eat a diet that is high in vitamins and minerals. Fresh vegetables and fruit will help thwart gum disease.
  4. Eating a small cube of cheese after your meal will help reduce the acids in foods from damaging your teeth.
  5. Avoid snacks between your meals. If you have sugary drinks and foods, have them at meal times to reduce the time your teeth are exposed to the detrimental effects of sugars.
